Versace 1990s Vinyl Jacket
Introduced in the late 1980s, Versace Jeans Couture was one of several diffusion lines operated by Versace until 2018, when the brand was acquired by the Michael Kors group. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, the line offered a more accessible interpretation of Versace’s iconography, often launching more commercial versions of runway looks.
This jacket was designed in the 1990s. Versace sent many vinyl looks down the runway as part of its Fall 1994 mainline collection (pictured). Crafted from high-shine black vinyl, it has a padded, quilted lining which means it holds its shape. It has classic denim jacket styling. The two patch pockets, button-down front and button cuffs are all finished with black and silver-tone metal Medusa-logo buttons. The front bottom hem is finished with Versace's instantly recognisable numbered logo patch.
