Versace Versus Fall 1992 Leather Jacket
From its inception in 1989, Versus Versace often echoed the visual language of Gianni Versace’s mainline collections. This black leather jacket recalls the Fall 1992 Versace runway (pictured), when leather and western-inspired metalwork was prominently featured. Leather was one of Gianni’s defining materials, recurring across runway and campaign imagery in the early-1990s.
Tailored from butter-soft black leather with a smooth handle, this jacket is cut with a subtle batwing silhouette and cinched waist. The quilted collar is finished with gold-tone, engraved collar tips, nodding to classic cowboy shirting. Two zip pockets sit at the chest with triangular “Versus”-engraved pulls, while dual front zips create a symmetrical effect; one functions as a fastening, the other is decorative. Both are finished with gold-tone lion-head logo pulls, referencing the Versus logo. Three lion-head studs punctuate the back. The interior is fully lined in satin.
