Lanvin Spring 2007 Dress

This dark teal silk mini dress from Lanvin’s Spring 2007 collection was designed by Alber Elbaz. Expertly constructed to curve perfectly over the bust - with discreet built-in “tit tape” ensuring its seemingly impossible structure holds in place - the dress reveals Elbaz’s understanding of the female body. The voluminous cargo-style pockets add a playful utilitarian edge to the luminous silk. The pockets close with brass snap closures and there is an exposed brass zip under the left arm. The dress is lined with black silk-satin.

Vogue observed, "Lanvin closed the spring collections with the strongest marshalling of purposefully honed modernity Alber Elbaz has ever sent down a runway", noting in particular the "futuristic Greek draping" seen across this dress.
